St Augustine's College

An education in the marist tradition

Our College

St Augustine’s is a Marist school that has been an integral part of the life of Cairns for 90 years.

While the College is steeped in tradition with a strong Old Boys network, it is committed to contemporary education aimed at equipping our graduates with the necessary skills to complete tertiary education, apprenticeships or to enter the workforce. We are passionate about being a place where young people flourish while developing a strong social conscience.

St Augustine’s College acknowledges that the land on which we learn, play and work is situated on the traditional lands of the Gimuy Walaburra Yidinji and Yirrangangi People.

We acknowledge these traditional owners of this land and recognise their living cultures and the unique roles they have played and continue to play in maintaining life, language and culture in this region.

We pay respect to their Elders past, present and emerging.
