St Augustine's College

An education in the marist tradition

Parents and Friends Association

Family involvement is a key feature of Catholic education.

The St Augustine’s Parents & Friends Association (P&F) is a voluntary organisation made up of parents/carers/friends whose sons attend the school. Its role is to support the College community by fostering participation between parents/carers/friends and Saints.

The association provides a forum where parents and friends can mingle, seek information, contribute feedback, socialise and support one another. The P&F operates under a constitution adopted from the Catholic School Parents, Queensland. It derives its income from the levy collected in school fees. The levy funds resources that teachers and school leaders believe benefit the intellectual, spiritual, social and physical development of students and the College community with parent information sessions.

The P&F meets once a term, all parents are automatically members and are welcome to attend. Each October, a P&F committee is elected at the AGM. The committee consists of a president, a vice president, a secretary, a treasurer, a boarding parent representative and diocesan representatives.

The 2020 Committee includes:

Jane Hislam

Vice President

Lorraine Collins

Cathy Swanson

Rachel O’Sullivan

Boarding Representative

Sue Swanson

Diocesan Representatives

Vince Musumeci & Warren Dunn

The next meeting for 2020 will be held on Wednesday, 28 October (AGM). This may be held via Zoom, depending on social distancing restrictions at the time. Alternatively it will be held in the College boardroom. All parents are invited to attend.
